James Carlson is the director and founder of the School Factory, a non-profit organization that creates learning environments and communities such as Bucketworks, the world's first health club for the brain. James has over twenty years experience with information technology applied in a social context, from design through implementation. A native of the Midwest, James brings passion and energy to the practical synthesis of people and technology at both for- and non-profit organizations of all sizes. He will be speaking on Using Creative Visual Thinking for Planning and Organizational Development.
Jayne Holland is the Business and Career Coach at the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee, Career Transitions Center. She also has her own consultant business, Blue Skies Consulting and Knowledge Center. She specializes in researching, discovering and tracking new and emerging trends that are affecting the current world of work and the ways these trends will continue to change the future world of work. She also uses this content to promote creative, innovative ideas and strategic visioning with organizations looking to evolve successfully and with aspiring entrepreneurs looking for "the next big thing!" Mike Rohde is a designer with a passion for simple, effective and usable design solutions. He has over twenty years of experience as a professional designer, specializing in logo and identity design, application icon design, web and user interface design. Mike works as an Interactive Art Director at Northwoods Software in Brown Deer, WI. He will be speaking about Visual Note Sketching and How Designers Think. Mike will also look at our new Logo and will provide us with some helpful tips for improving the design.
Bob Roman is a computer training specialist and curriculum designer for Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare. He is responsible(along with Cherie Finnie-Membership Chair) for the Microsoft training classes and designing eLearning programs using Adobe Captivate 4. Bob is also the President of Milwaukee Education and Training Organization. Bob love’s to use creative thinking and mind mapping to solve problems. He will be speaking about Creative Thinking Resources and Mind Mapping blogs and Websites you can visit. He will also explain what Vizthink.org is all about.
